About the School:

There are two things every singer is looking for, reliability and versatility. We know that they are the result of 'Good technique', but what is good technique? There are a lot of 'techniques' on the vocal market today, but which is the right one?

Here at Armstrongs School of Singing we believe that anyone can ACHIEVE their singing DREAMS. We are dedicated in providing all students, from beginners wanting to CONQUER their fears, to professionals wanting the tools to further DEVELOP their voice, with a no nonsense approach to singing – just a solid technical foundation through understanding how your voice works. What does this mean? You learn how to ACHIEVE freedom with your singing instrument, forging the path to real vocal DEVELOPMENT and worry free vocal production across all styles.

All our classes are private and conducted in a caring and friendly environment by our team of versatile and professional teachers (All of our staff have a working with children check).

What to expect:

At your initial consultation your teacher will take you through various exercises to determine your current vocal ability and any problem areas. Your vocal dreams and aspirations will also be discussed to determine the direction your individual program will take.

Great singing comes from a balance between the physical (technique) and the emotional (interpretation).

The initial lessons, irrespective of your ability, will cover the 4 KEYS to singing:

• Alignment
• Breath Management
• A relaxed open throat
• Speech

These initial lessons will improve your ability to Sing safely, increase your range, remove cracks and breaks, allow you to sing freely and clearly without any loss of strength, while all the time maintaining your individuality.

Singers are not the only people who come to Artmstrongs School of Singing:

• Actors, Voice Overs, Public Speakers. We have provided many artists with the knowledge of expert voice production they need in order to perform in a safe and pain-free manner. Having this knowledge means having the ability to tap into the numerous voice types you can access to further improve your presentation or performance.

• All Speaking Professions (e.g. teachers, call centre operators). Many roles rely upon a significant vocal component. Not only does this mean that delivery should be in a manner that is not going to harm your voice, it also means that our delivery must also be engaging and compelling. As such, we offer techniques to strengthen your voice, ensuring a powerful vocal presence that can last the distance.
